A financial client engaged PRA to provide project controls services for their 230,000 SF headquarters. A Gensler design, the project included executive offices, executive dining rooms, executive conference center, trading, cafeteria, general office space, training and a client lobby with spectacular steel and lighting sculptures.

This was the largest NYC headquarters real estate deal in 2013. PRA helped from lease technical review and negotiations through construction budgeting, contracting strategy and construction administration as the cost and risk manager. Project final cost of $80MM was in-line with PRA initial budget projection.

When Hurricane Sandy hit in 2012, buildings in the financial district’s flood zone were hit the hardest by the storm surge – which sent water pouring into underground electrical and mechanical systems, shutting them down and causing an emergency crisis. PRA was brought in by the Client to work with their team as well as Brookfield Properties to strategize a solution to the crises, get the building back on-line as soon as possible and proceed with the rebuild of the damaged infrastructure – for which we provided project controls services.

The One New York Plaza recovery project was recognized by the NYC construction industry as one of the most successful recovery projects and we are proud to have been a part of this unique project.
